The year was 1985 and much of the United States was suffering through the early months of, what became, the coldest Winter on record and the country was begging for warmth.
Little did anyone know that, soon, the Second Coming of Rock and Roll was to emerge and bring about a movement so flaming hot that it would set the World on fire.
And, some time during the Midnight hours on April 7th, 1985, Smokey Saratoga entered this dimension with a guitar pick in one hand and a match in the other.
With a simple entree into his 5th grade talent show, Smokey’s destiny was solidified and - after a short incarceration for inciting a riot after his rendition of “Hot for Teacher” by Van Halen brought the audience to a crazed frenzy of jovial celebration - he was approached with an offer for his first gig.
“Yeah man! The kid just slayed… SLAYED! We needed a guitar player, so I was like, the little dude can play...So we hired him on the spot!" says singer Ginger Kirby. And, just like that, Smokey Saratoga headed out on a 750 date World tour with one of rocks biggest acts of the time.
Smokey was gifted his first Fender Stratocaster on his 6th birthday and within a few short years he was already making waves.
Ever since that faithful day, Smokey has continually ignited the world of rock and roll on fire with his salacious riffs, smoking solos and his mile wide attitude - always walking to the beat of his own drum - and as they say, the rest is history.
